NUMA: What made you want to become a photographer?

What made me want to become a photographer was when I realized that photography is one of the many ways that I get to live out my calling which is to bring light into other peoples’ lives. I get to inspire and encourage people by creative means.

NUMA: What do you enjoy about working with The Numa Network?

I absolutely love LOVE everyone who works at Numa. Everyone is so genuinely friendly and easy going.

NUMA: How do you educate yourself to take better pictures?

I try to work with as many photographers as I can as a model. It is important for me to understand how the model feels being on the other side of the camera so I try to put myself in the same situations as I would ask my models to be in. At the same time I get to be mentored by so many amazing photographers by seeing how they work.

NUMA: Whose work has influenced you most?

I have two favourite Korean photographers named Rie (@rie_rabbit) and Kim Heejune (kimheejune). One does film and the other does fashion. I absolutely love the feel of the photo and also the simplicity of the work they do.

NUMA: What is the one thing you wish you knew when you started taking photos?

I wish I wasn’t in such a hurry to get somewhere. When I started everything was so new and shiny to me that I didn’t take enough time to enjoy the process and to breathe. Enjoying the process and taking your time is far more important than reaching an end goal – just breathe and enjoy.
