How did you become a model? Why did you choose Numa?
It was a very spur of the moment thing. I saw an ad for Numa Models on Instagram and thought “this is an investment in myself, and I believe I have something unique to bring to the table”. So I went ahead and sent them an email.
After I received confirmation of my email, I took a look at the Numa website. It was clear that diversity and acceptance is in the very fabric of Numa. As one of the top modelling agencies in Canada, it was a clear winner, and I knew I would be supported every step of the way.
What are your goals as a model?
I would love to become an international fashion model. Fashion has such an incredible way of reflecting the world, as a living art and an outlet of social reform I think the fashion world’s ability to ignite change is vastly underrated and underused. Being a part of it would bring me great joy and gratitude.
What are your favourite ways to stay active?
It’s honestly all about finding your niche. For me, dance is a really good stress reliever and creative outlet. I also go to the gym every second day, and swim when I visit Nova Scotia annually. Knowing what works best for your body is a really secure way of making sure you stay active, because it becomes less of a task and more of a fulfilling activity.
